Itinerary

Costa Rica and Nicaragua Jungle Adventure  ( San Jose, Rio Indio, San Jose )

Six Days and Five Nights 

With Charter Air or Ground transfers

 

Day  1  Arrive in San Jose. Transfer from Airport to Hotel. Deluxe room/double occupancy. Afternoon City Tour. Night off.

Day  2  Morning pick up and transfer to local airport for 45 min. flight to Barra Colorado and a 1 1/2 hour boat ride to the Rio Indio Lodge. Lunch at Lodge.

In the event of bad weather or cloud cover in the mountains, transfers will be by van and boat. In this event, our guests are transferred by van through the mountains of the Braulio Carrillo National Park to Puerto Viejo and by boat down the Rio Sarapiqui and Rio San Juan to the lodge.  Afternoon activities to choose from include Nature Hike with Rama Indian guide, Visit to old Greytown and ruins of the Colonial Cemetery and streets dating back to 1650, or just relax around the Infinity Pool. After dinner, there will be a night tour from 7:00 to 8:00 pm by boat to see all of the nocturnal animals like caimans and crocodiles up close.

Day  3  Full day of Fishing, Birding or Nature Tour in the jungle of the Indio Maiz Bio Reserve and surrounding waters

Day  4  Full day of Fishing, Birding or Nature Tour in the jungle of the Indio Maiz Bio Reserve and surrounding waters

Day 5  Breakfast at Lodge, morning flight to San Jose (or boat and van, if necessary) and transfer to hotel.  Choice of afternoon tour to Volcano Poas or arts and craft town of Sarchi or coffee plantation (Van & Driver), night off

Day  6  Transfer from Hotel to Airport for your flight home.

 Total Cost of package with charter air transfer or ground transfer (in and out by van/ water taxi by way of Puerto Viejo).    $ 1,550.00
